Hi all,
I wonder if anyone has the same problem as me and knows the
explanation/cure for it.
For a long time I had been able to hangout with my brother. I'm using my
EEEPC (its one of the recent models with dual core Atom N550 and 10"
screen) and a Logitech UVC class webcam with a built in microphone. I'm
using Ubuntu 13.04 fully updated. My browser is Firefox.
After a long time with this working perfectly I now find that my sound
stops working after about 30 seconds in the hangout. We can see each other
OK and I can hear my brother, but he cannot hear me. If I go into Sound
Settings and switch to the EEEPC's microphone my sound comes back, but it
is very poor quality, which is why I want to use the one in the webcam. I
can then switch back to the webcam's microphone and, if I am lucky, my
brother will hear me for another 30 seconds or so until it stops working
again.
Does anyone have any idea of how I can get the sound input from the
webcam's microphone to work properly like it used to do?
Tony
