Simon,
It looks like I am in the same boat, but I will try what Andrew suggested
tonight.  I did enable Nvidia drivers, but the alsamixer unmute sounds
promising...

I wonder if there is a difference between revo's.  I have an R3610, does
everyone who has a working revo have the same model?
