Been fighting the same fight for about 2 years, the only difference with
my setup is that they haven't changed to Exchange 2007 yet.

I started with Evolution on Ubuntu and used that for quite some time,
using the HTTP exchange web access connector. It worked fairly well but
every now and again I would come across a show stopping bug that meant I
couldn't use it at all so I always had to keep a Windows box around with
Office installed to RDP in to use Outlook.

I then tried Office 2003 in wine. Lots of problems stopped it working.
Then I tried it in Crossover Office which worked better but still had
some issues.

The best solution I've had so far is to use VirtualBox in seamless
desktop mode and use Office 2003/7 in WinXP but that kills my
performance too much as I don't have a CPU with VT.

So I'm back around to using RDP into a Windows box and using Office 2007
for Outlook and docs. I've tried Evolution MAPI connector but it just
crashes with this bug
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution-mapi/+bug/340532
that is somehow marked as invalid now.

I really feel if Ubuntu could get a drop-in Outlook replacement it would
be accepted more in the Enterprise.

Darren
