[ubuntu-uk] kernel deleted and I don't think I can reboot...!!! :/

ah sorry that was badly worded... I meant, I've uninstalled them, with
the intention of reinstalling them. It seems to be
linux-image-2.6.27-12-generic that's giving me the trouble... all the
packages that don't depend on it install fine.
However, I haven't found any files and clicked delete. If it helps, this
is what cd /boot && ls -a returns: 

abi-2.6.27-12-generic
config-2.6.27-12-generic
grub
initrd.img-2.6.27-12-generic
memtest86+.bin
System.map-2.6.27-12-generic
vmcoreinfo-2.6.27-12-generic
vmlinuz-2.6.27-12-generic
