Hi,

I'm just guessing here, but it probably installs an autostart session
entry.

If you go to System->Preferences->Session, is it listed in "Startup
programs"?

If so, then you can disable it on each account where you don't want it.

If you want to disable it by default then you need to find the .desktop
file, it may be in /etc/xdg/autostart, where you can edit to add

X-GNOME-Autostart-enabled=false

to the end. I don't know how to do this for other DEs.

You could also talk to the dropbox people about having a better system
in place to handle this.

Thanks,

James
