Keith
I strongly stick by my disparaging remarks about Acer. We have 70+ of their
laptops at work and about 20+ have had to be returned due to one failure or
another. Twice the laptops have been returned to us from Acer repair in a
worse state than set out in. Hopefully you will never have to call Acer
Customer Service as they are terrible and don't try between 12.30 or 13.30
as the helpdesk is closed. (so much for 24/7 business now a days).
I am sure others will have received better service and better machines, Acer
just seem bad to us.
I sincerely hope your Acer and everyone else's works 100% of the time. Also
pleased to hear Ubuntu went on it well.
To leave on a positive note I see that Misco have reduced the HP Mini Note
(Linux) down to £199. It was originally £340.

Not a bad price for Christmas :-) (Yes I know it's a Via and not an Atom)
