It's a great sum in many countries (though the cost of the sub-notebook 
itself by comparison astronomically huge).  However, whatever the cost, 
Win XP leaves you with less useable storage on the EeePC than GNU/Linux 
does.  And I guess M$ will still struggle with very cheap computing  ;-)

(I guess that's why they're trying to strong-arm the computer-makers 
into using M$ only by means of cheap deals on the OS but *only* if they 
refrain from installing any other OS on what they sell!!  Looks like 
they might be REALLY worried about this development.  Good!)
