If you use proxy or firewall, don't forget to open port 53.
It's used by Ubuntu to get update from Repository Server

If you use iptable for your firewall, you can open using command below:
# ALLOWING DNS to Access to your firewall 
iptables -A OUTPUT -p udp -o eth0 --dport 53 --sport 1024:65535 -j
ACCEPT 
iptables -A INPUT -p udp -i eth0 --sport 53 --dport 1025:65535 -j
ACCEPT
