How do you access your email, locally, with IMAP or POP3? Evolution and
Thunderbird both store mailboxes in mbox format when using POP3 or some
other download-based method, so you should be able to copy the mailboxes
across from ~/.evolution to ~/.mozilla-thunderbird (or ~/.thunderbird).
If you're using IMAP it's easy as there is no transfer; just add your
account details to Thunderbird and tell it to go synchronise every folder.
I've given up on Evolution until it gets evened out some more, it's been
a promising client but too buggy for my liking. Thunderbird rocks.
