[ubuntu-uk] dvd rom-gutsy doesnt see!!!

apologies. Yes its previously worked fine..with burning stuff and playing
stuff.
I put a blank CD in the other day and nothings happened.
I have restarted the pc but to no avail.!

I have tried making my VFD work and to make the remote control which came
with my case (mozart thermaltake sx) to work.

Thats about it nothing else has changed!
