[ubuntu-uk] Why did you all ignore me........................

Assuming you can't boot in Windows and fix the improper shutdown issue,
perhaps the key is to mount it from Gutsy with the older read-only driver?
However, that is only half a fix because, of course, you won't be able to
write to it which makes it little more than a glorified CD.
Personally if it was causing me sleepless nights, rather than get tireder
and tireder I'd be inclined to splash out and buy another 200GB drive,
format it ext3 or some other sensible filesystem type, boot into Feisty
Live, copy all the files over and then re-format the original one. In a day
or so I'd be over the crisis and able to find some more useless things to
fret/lose sleep about.
