It's probably a regression/problem that has crept in because the
developers and/or testers don't have the same hardware. And because
laptop hardware is non-standard, it needs specific testing.

Have you reported it as a bug? I don't know how much useful
information you can supply, but it's unlikely to get fixed if the
developers don't know about it. :-) Probably teaching you to suck
eggs, but I just mentioned it for anyone else who's reading the
thread.
