This is similar to what one of the members of the Devon & Cornwall LUG
(www.dcglug.org.uk) is trying to arrange in Penzance at a computer
shop/internet cafe. With it being a internet cafe type location they
are able to demonstrate Ubuntu (and a couple of other distros) and then
give out CDs and literature, and even install Linux on visitors
computers. The guy who is arranging it has been looking at the leaflets
that are being created on this list and I think he was pretty impressed.

I try where I can to get more people to give Ubuntu a try. A colleague
of mine has decided to dump Windows XP and go for Ubuntu. He has very
little experience of Ubuntu but since I work with him I'll be able to
provide him with support. I'm also installing Ubuntu alongside Windows
XP on his mother-in-law's PC when I replace her faulty hard drive.

I figured that if I can get 3 or 4 people to over to Ubuntu then they
can also talk to their friends and family about Ubuntu. Heck, I'm even
half tempted to e-mail a few of my friends on MySpace & Facebook about
Ubuntu with links.
