As I understand it, the Edgy ISO image you down load now is the same as
it was when released last October.
An updated image was released for Dapper (version 6.06.01, I think)
which was an updated image, but that was unusual and possibly due to the
long term support nature of Dapper.
There is probably a way to build a distro with all the latest updates
included, but that is way beyond me! Meanwhile, you will need to do th
updates.
Updated ISO images of version under development are made available. For
example, Feisty is up to Herd 4 release. But I would only use these
versions in a test/non-production environment.
