Places --> Desktop 
Double click the FldigiHelp-2.0.tar.gz file which will open it in fileroller
Click Extract to extract the contents of the helpfiles somewhere
Close fileroller once done
Places --> Home
Navigate to wherever you unpacked the tar file to, and double click the 
index.html file.

Places --> Desktop
Double click the fl_logbook.2.3.bin.tgz
This will open in fileroller again.
Click extract to extract the contents somewhere
Close fileroller once done
Places --> Home
Navigate to wherever you unpacked the fl_logbook file to then double click 
it. It will then run,
