Hello to All,
Many thanks for the replies to my posts. Thank you Al for
your help. It did open the programme and I could also add an icon to the
desktop, very good.There are two other issues. I would like to use two
other programmes I have down loaded, these are on the desktop and I have
extracted them, these are;
1. /home/john/Desktop/FldigiHelp-2.0.tar.gz
and
2. /home/john/Desktop/fl_logbook.2.3.bin.tgz
These are the actual folders.
I have tried what you suggested Dave, but no joy. The cd/temp says no
such file or directory, so I have not been able to create the temporary
directory in this way. If I select places/home, I can see the un-tar ed
folders but cannot open log book (fl_logbook) I have also tried to open
the morse and the aldo download with alt-f2 but that did not work.
Further help gratefully received,
John F5VLM G-QRP 12122
