ubuntu-uk.org is registered and indeed already in use by this team. It
is being hosted on the server of Matthias Urlichs, the locoteams' contact.

I'd be quite interested in hearing what you would envisage the website
being used to do - my immediate instinct is that the wiki and this
mailing list has everything we need, at least with the community the
size that it is at the moment.
