[ubuntu-uk] Printer

Having problems with setting up my DJ720c printer in Ubuntu
It is picked up ok in dmesg but I cannot print at all...Sending a file
to it with lpr produces nothing at all..No error messages even...
I goto setup the printer with cups ands it tells me it cannot find a 
running server.
   I have reinstalled all the cups related stuff but still no joy..
  Looked on the Ubuntu forum and mails on there indicate 
the D/J printer has problems....Works ok in Mepis and Libranet
though.....Any input appreciated...
