[ubuntu-uk] objective

I joined this group in order to be able to help in whatever way I am
able. The point is that I am somewhat ancient and have no working
knowledge of Linux. I am using Ubuntu because my son persuaded me that
it was a good thing to do and, so far, I am happy to go along with this
point of view. So, what can I offer to this group and what does the
group expect from me?

I have introduced myself some weeks ago and I receive all the post that
is sent. I have raised a few bugs and done some very limited
investigatory work. I am quite willing to follow up any repetitive
testing which might be of use but I am not sure that this is right place
to report such results.

Enough rambling from me could I please have some response from other
members.
