Which apps to start with

Hi Anthony,

First of all, welcome to the Ubuntu Translations community!

If you want to translate Ubuntu into Bemba, I'd recommend simply going
to

https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/natty/+lang/bem

and starting from there.

The list is ordered by priority (most important applications at the
top), and roughly the first two pages contain the applications installed
by default in Ubuntu.

I'd recommend starting with some of the Ubuntu-specific applications, so
that you can get started easily and you can see the results straight
away.

You can try the following:

Unity:

Unity Applications Place:

Unity Files Place:

Unity 2D:

These are relatively short and quite visible, so they're a good place to
start.

You can then continue with all the indicator-* templates below the Unity
ones.

As you're translating more, you'll find other templates fo which the
ones above are dependant, and then you can take it from there.

Other translators on the list might have other suggestions as well.

Language packs
--------------

      * Also if you're testing translations, remember to subscribe to
        the language packs PPA to get weekly translation updates and
        check your progress on a running system.
              * You'll find the instructions on how to add the PPA on
                this page:

      * Note that you'll have to make sure you've done all the 3 steps
        under the "Request language addition" section to get a language
        pack created for Bemba:
