Search in po files

Hi,

I would like to write a small tool to search through po files of
language packs to be able to find where is a specific translation, and
then point to the correct string in Launchpad (waiting for the search
functionality directly in Launchpad ;-)...).

The main problem is that strings aren't ordered in the same way in
Launchpad (same as original po) and in langpacks source files
(alphabetical order, all comments stripped off), so it's impossible to
map strings so as to redirect to the exact string in Launchpad.

Could we imagine that ordering of strings in langpacks source files be
the same as Launchpad ordering (probably just a SELECT order to change)?
