There was no migration? Maybe we understand different things when
talking about "migration". Indeed, there were some translations lost
between Breezy and Dapper. But most were imported from Rosetta. I know
that quite well, because our team is doing almost all localization of
Free Software using Rosetta. We have far more translations in Rosetta
than upstream so far. We certainly would have been aware if everything
had been lost.
Indeed we had to migrate some files by ourselves, because the import
scripts partially failed. But there was not "no migration". I had a
long dialogue with Carlos about details of the migration then, which
caused him a lot of sleepless nights back then .
I am glad you found a "once and for all" solution to the problems.
That will make Rosetta even more important.
