Hi Pedro. I've tried re-doing everything about a dozen times to retrieve
the strace above. The calls not working is perfectly reproducible, but I
can't get it to crash again, I'm not sure what triggers that part.
** Summary changed:
- Empathy crashed when trying to call a GTalk contact
+ Empathy can't call a GTalk contact (some crashes might be related)
** Description changed:
Binary package hint: empathy
Hi! I'm running up-to-date Jaunty. I just installed Empathy today to try
to use audio chat with my GTalk buddies.
It seems to run OK for testing, but when I'm trying to call somebody I
- get either crashes or Jabber disconnects.
+ get either crashes or Jabber disconnects. (Edit: I got a couple of
+ crashes, but now I seem to get only disconnects.)
Some of the time Empathy crashes. The bug report tool came up once but
it timed-out for some reason before sending everything. Most of the time
I get a message with a "disconnected" icon in the contact list for the
Jabber account (GTalk), with "No error specified". There's nothing in
the console related to this. (But see bug #315487, no idea if it's
related.)
