Thanks you Ralf !!
very appreciate your attention very speed!
Thank you for all !! it is very
It is very nice to read you both !! With all that you have contributed I am more than satisfied .
Moreover, I think it's very good as well , because for anyone starting install can stop things and focus on what touches,
as you say , to create !!!
And thank you very much !
Now !
I have to do the tutorial to help and encourage others to use this fantastic distribution ( GNU / Linux operating system, which is how I like to call it )
Un saludo Musical

PS : If I have Nvidia drivers . The other things I do not find so necessary . Thank you. To say that the quality of recordmydesktop
with a desktop background, such as one by default in this version of Ubuntu Studio 16.04 , I will not look good .
It is solved by putting some background photo ( flamingos, lake or Japanese , for example)
I have built / installed programs I have found to be missing :
 VLC, Synaptic, Gparted .
After I installed the latest stable version of Kdenlive : 16.04 . And OBS -Studio for its good configuration. Otherwise everything is great !!
Thanksssss .

Posdata: Si tengo Nvidia drivers. Las otras cosas no las encuentro tan necesarías. Gracias.
He incorporado/instalado programas que he encontrado a faltar:
 VLC, Synaptic, Gparted .
Después he instalado la última versión estable de Kdenlive: 16.04. Y OBS-Studio por su buena configuración. Por lo demás todo es GENIAL !!
Graciassssss.

Hi,

it depends on what you need.

Take a look at
http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=ubuntu-restricted-extras&searchon=names&suite=xenial&section=all

If you compare

ubuntu-restricted-extras
http://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial/ubuntu-restricted-extras

and

xubuntu-restricted-extras
http://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial/xubuntu-restricted-extras

the only difference are

ubuntu-restricted-addons
http://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial/ubuntu-restricted-addons

and

xubuntu-restricted-addons
http://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial/xubuntu-restricted-addons

However, both packages already recommend to install Microsoft TrueType
core fonts. By default recommended packages automatically get installed.
I wouldn't install those fonts, since I don't need them. Do you need
those fonts?

Compare ubuntu-restricted-addons and xubuntu-restricted-addons, the
ubuntu package recommends the extra ffmpeg codecs for the Chromium
browser. Are you a Chromium user? Both, the ubuntu and xubuntu package
recommend to install a flash player. I don't install a flash player
since years.

If you don't want or you shouldn't have the knowledge to select
explicitly the packages you want, then it doesn't matter what "meta"
package you install.

Both more or less install the same, the ubuntu package installs two
additional packages, but most likely you just need the xubuntu package.

Résumé, IMO you should install xubuntu-restricted-extras, but nothing
is missing, assumed you should install ubuntu-restricted-extras, you
just get two additional packages, one e.g. is related to the Chromium
browser.

Regards,
Ralf
