Scrivener work in my Ubuntu Studio 14.04 64-bit as well. It involves
terminal as it is my choice of installations, but you will find the same
packages in Synaptics:

sudo apt-get install libgstreamer-plugins-base0.10-0:i386 libstdc++6:i386
libfontconfig:i386 libxext6:i386 libxrender1:i386

It takes a while to start (at least on my VM machine) but eventually it
starts up and I'm able to create a new project.

I suppose it will not make it into Ubuntu Studio as a default app until it
is released beyond beta and perhaps once it makes it into the Ubuntu
repositories. I have been keeping my eye on it for a while (and will keep
doing so) as I think it should be included in the Publishing apps in Ubuntu
Studio eventually.
