Wireless

Thanks Mike.
So the answer is yes; I would end up with an essentially a system in coma.
:)
I understand that the pros do not want to use wireless for obvious reasons.
Maybe a Live DVD would be helpful. ??
I personally have not had this problem in the past and hopefully won't in
the future. But being "stuck" with Wifi only at this point brought this
issue to my attention.
I suppose I could install Ubuntu Studio on top of the desktop install now.
But that certainly isn't an ideal situation. Is this usable for us
hobbyists? My brief attempts to use Jokosher with the desktop install is a
disaster. It just doesn't seem very intuitive to me. I haven't even been
able to decide if it is supposed to be Jack aware. But then installing
Audacity has been helpful either. Maybe my issues are more with not yet
getting Compiz setup correctly. But trying to use the Ubuntu Classic option
has shown that then menus do not work either.
<sigh> I know. Most of these complaints do not belong here. But thanks
for reading anyway.
