dual boot Xp and Ubuntu Studio

First I want to thank everyone for the help.  My son who understands 
windows better than I do and I worked half the night New years eve on 
trying to repair XP using the XP cd to do the repair.  It failed.
Finally we disconnected the 2nd drive that is the one Ubuntu Studio is 
on  to reinstall xp.  That didn't work as for some reason we couldn't  
get the first drive to run??  We reconnected the second drive and 
installed XP in the first drive.  I went upstairs to take a bath while 
my son was was installing sp3 and stuff in xp. When I came back down 
Ubuntu was gone.  I think my son may have tried to reinstall grub using 
an Ubuntu 10.04 cd and not knowing much about Ubuntu screwed up and 
installed it.  So at this moment I have Xp and Ubuntu 10.04. Good thing 
I had all my data saved on an external hard drive:-)
I will likely  Just go into synaptic and install the Ubuntu Studio 
programs and desktop.
     The first time I installed way back maybe 3years ago I couldn't get 
Cinelerra to work in Studio I guess because it was a different kernel.  
I don't know if there is still that difference or not but I have had 
some sound problems that I never quite worked out when using Cinelerra 
in Studio. I will try the regular Ubuntu program for a while before 
changing over to Studio. I really don't need studio for doing my video 
but I like playing with the audio programs and have been having a good 
time with them.
