Ubuntu Studio wireless connection

I think I had this experience with Intrepid or Jaunty. The workaround was
uninstall NetworkManager and install WICD? It worked for me but I cannot
give you any guarantees. I would say that considering the time it takes to
do fresh install that may be a better option. :(
