Synth Pop music with vocals? Linux sampler help?

Miranda,
I never did it, but it is possible to work with Ardour and Rosegarden,
because of JACK. I just work with Ardour, so I have no idea about how RG
works, but have you ever seen the Rosegarden`s tour at:
