reg. system sounds...happens to me too, everytime my system has been on
screensaver. I remember at least one time I fixed it by going to the
alsa mixer and unmute the channel. Right now, it doesn work anymore
until I log in again.
But I think it must be something with this pulseaudio thing. Who the hey
thought it would contribute anything? I had 7.10 working fine with two
soundcards. Since pulse audio I keep losing sound.
