There has been a similar discussion on the 64Studio mailing list. A
couple of us have had a lot of problems with AM2 (and AM2+) series
motherboards. I have personally wrestled with 4 different chipsets all
supporting this platform (not for just a DAW). I am back to Intel now.
Of course, you are free to make your own choice.
