What happened to RT kernel development?

The latest stable rt patches can be found here:
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/projects/rt/

Currently the latest version is: 2.6.25.8-rt7

You could compile your own or you could wait for a newer one to make its
way into intrepid.  There are some complications if you are using the
Ubuntu kernel as a base (I personally use the vanilla kernel.org source,
but not everyone enjoys building their own kernel).
