Fortunately developers don't want to make free clones of propietary
software. This makes this free apps offer differences that can be
better or just help other userspaces, eventhough I would like people
to just use free software. I understand, and know the best is
complement each with the other, depending in what you are doing one or
the other. But the most powerful is using both, much more freedom for
the user/artist.

The good part is that doing this you slowly learn to use all the free
applications to their full extent and you will find yourself using
them more and more, and using the other less and less. But free
software is in constant development, so just expect better stuff in
the future.
