I don't want to be sarcastic, but with this I really can't help it:

if it only was as simple as a few tutorials...

Ubuntustudio is not responsible for the code of the different applications
it runs, each application has it's own developers and they are not
depending on ubuntustudio, it rather is the other way around. Look them up,
dive into the source-code, it is freely available anyway.
