It's a new Xfce or GNOME/gtk bug. When I replied I didn't notice that
midori is started, while firefox should start on my install, later I
noticed that now midori opens, but not the clicked link, it opens with
the selected start page and just a second click on a link will open a
tab with this link.
I don't know, but I bet it's GTK related, time to get rid of Xfce and
many GTK applications, this GTK crap isn't bearable anymore. I'm now on
Arch, not Ubuntu and there are many other issues, e.g. GTK's crappy file
dialog windows, config permissions that switch from user to root, so
that chown or a reboot is needed. To bad that GNOME sucks that much and
has got that much impact to some applications, even when not using
GNOME. I already use Thunar without the buggy gvfs for a long time.
On my machine there are Mate and Cinnamon also installed, I don't like
them and will try KDE again.
