Ricardo, I can't manage to login download those files, even though I
have a Launchpad account. Not sure why. However, I had recently had
some thoughts about Ubuntu Studio Controls myself.

Firstly, I think that it should have a help button that gives some
guidance on what the controls do, and what would by appropriate
settings for typical setups. My experience is that many users
(including myself) have little knowledge of this, and misinformation
is so widespread that it is difficult to educate oneself. Having at
least basic explanations that are reliable would help to prevent the
problems that people have which are not caused by Studio (which would
probably work fine if left on the default settings) but by people
getting the settings wrong.

Secondly, I have recently seen rather exasperated comments (from
someone that I respect as an authority) that the mystique surrounding
"nice" settings is misplaced and that it has virtually nothing to do
with audio performance. If this is the case, then should that setting
not be removed from the Controls ?
