Ubuntu Studio theme problems

I agree. The active vs. inactive text coloring is confusing.
Firefox looks fine because for the most part it ignores gtk themes.
The best place to submit this, is as a bug report on the Ubuntu Studio
Launchpad. It might be files as Feature Request, but at least it's on a TODO
list....
