We "fixed" this in Ubuntu GNOME years ago by hiding the imagemagick app
launchers by default. We need the command line imagemagick, but we don't
need the gui frontend. It would be nice if it was split off to a
separate package so those that want it can install it.

Starting ImageMagick from the whisker menu gives no reaction. Running
the commands executed by those entries in a cli however does start
ImageMagick
