Title:
hybserv needlessly wakes up every 200 microseconds
Status in “hybserv” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Hybserv (src/sock.c) calls select() with a 200μs timeout in a loop
which effectively just repeats the call if no activity was detected.
This is a problem for CPU power management (the CPU can't go to sleep
even if hybserv appears idle).
This behaviour is present in at least 1.9.2-4.1, i.e. at least in
lucid, maverick, natty and oneiric.
