The panel applet has been dropped in Debian:

  * Drop pnee since it has not been ported to the new libpanel-applet
    interface. Closes: #638111

It looks fine to me, FFe granted. But it'll need an archive-admin to
volunteer to NEW review it.

  This was in Ubuntu until Oneiric when pitti deleted it
  because the panel applet needed to be dropped and it was "unmaintained."

  I just installed the Debian packages and they seem to work fine.
