[Ubuntu-SG] Connecting to the internet

Dear all,
My name is Bryne. I am a relatively new user to Ubuntu. I
switched from Windows to Ubuntu because I was doing some programming work
from 2009-2010. Currently, I have a SingTel Miobox which my family uses to
connect to the internet. I've called SingTel for help to connect to the
internet but they told me that SingTel does not support Ubuntu. I have two
questions :
1) Does anyone know if it's possible to connect to the internet using
SingTel Miobox?
2) If not, then what are the alternatives to get connected?
I appreciate any help provided. Thanks.
