Hi K,
I am in complete agreement with everything you said, but I do not think the
event is the correct venue for direct sales. It is very much the correct
venue for marketing and client prospecting. What did you think of my idea of
offering what are essentially consulting services? When I was at university,
I did this a lot on the side to make more money. It is up to those of us
that are currently enrolled students (perhaps everyone except me?) to decide
if he or she has the time to do that.
Anyway, I'll research the sales-at-event angle more fully as soon as I have
time. I'll make it part of the Exhibitor's Pack that is going out soon, and
which TUSG will also receive.
By the way, since Darrel handed over to Vincent Lai of SMU and myself the
finalization of the Exhibit hall layout, I changed table assignments to move
TUSG out of the corner. I believe it was Heidir that requested that. So, you
can get a head start on the Exhibitor's Pack by checking out my initial
Exhibits page on the site:

Feedback directly to me rather than this mailing list is preferred for site
bug reports and comments, or use the site contact form (which routes to the
same email address).
Cheers
