[Ubuntu-SG] Help! No mouse no keyboard!

Guys,

I am not sure what's happening but yesterday Ubuntu did an upgrade and
next thing I know is, my mouse and keyboard no longer works...   :(

Without them, I cannot even diagnose the problem... but curiously, I
can go into the virtual screens using just Alt-F1~F6 (instead of
Ctrl-Alt-F1~F6)... so perhaps I can solve the problems through the
commandline.
