During the Node installation, I canceled the DHCP request, so I could
configure interface eth0 with a static IP address.  Should I not have
configured the interface as a static IP address?  If so, would the
Node have gotten one of the virtual IP addresses specified during the
Cluster install?  What if there is another DHCP server on the same
network?  Do the Nodes need to be on a private net with the Cluster?

Maybe this is also related to bug:

The Node is not acessable via the network using the static IP address
I configured(After canceling the DHCP request).  I can run a wireshark
trace to check if the Node is broadcasting that it is a eucalyptus
node by avahi..

I can also try to re-install the Node and let it grab an IP address via DHCP.
