nehalem issues?

I have 37 R710's (L5520) running 9.04,  no issues so far 8.04 which i would have run will work if you feel like back porting a kernel.

I heard there are or were problems getting Ubuntu (and Debian) to run on 
Nehalem processors.  Does anyone have more insight or references about 
it? I wasn't able to find much with Google.
