After the last Samba update, I can see two instances of my computer in
the workgroup from my Windows machine. I cannot log into either one
though. Files still can't be shared between my Windows machines and my
Linux box. My Windows XP box says "The parameter is incorrect" which
parameter is that I wonder...

can log into it.

I just removed and re-installed Samba. The second instance of my
computer disappeared from the workgroup. However, I still get the same
error: "The parameter is incorrect". I cannot log in from Windows XP or
7 but Ubuntu still has no problem.

I notice that when I completely remove Samba, it still remembers my previous shares... How do I get rid of that? What file in my home directory do I delete?
