[Bug 520645] [NEW] configuration discovery

Public bug reported:

Eucalyptus is a complex product and this complexity is exposed to users
as their tools need complex configuration. E.g. is s3 dns buckets turned
on or off; what host is the s3 controller on, what host is the ec2
controller on.

It would be great if there was an API call we could make that would
return this information in a machine format, ideally anonymously - so
that someone could simply point their client at this API call, and the
client software could autoconfigure from that point on. If this already
exists, I couldn't find it :(.

** Affects: eucalyptus (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
