[Bug 383450] [NEW] When upgrading from openssh-server 1:5.1p1-5ubuntu1 to 1:5.1p1-5ubuntu2: "ImportError: No module named lsb_release"

Interesting. I just did an upgrade that included this version and the
new lsb-release, and saw no similar issue. I can't find any code in
openssh-server that calls lsb_release, either.

Could you please run the following command, assuming that you haven't
cleaned your apt cache since encountering this problem:
                                                                                                                                                                                                                    sudo strace -f -o openssh-server.trace -s 1024 dpkg -i /var/cache/apt/archives/openssh-server_1%3a5.1p1-5ubuntu2_i386.deb
... and attach the resulting openssh-server.trace to this bug? With any luck this should let me see what's going on. Thanks in advance.
