Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openssh-client

System is up to date:
Ubuntu 8.04.1
Linux season 2.6.24-19-generic #1 SMP Fri Jul 11 21:01:46 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux
openssh-client 1:4.7p1-8ubuntu1.2

# ssh user at example.com
user at example.com's password:

The user is then authenticated as shown by the server's logs.
The ssh client then hangs for a few minutes, then drops the connection.
ntop reports an empty tcp connection anomaly before the link is closed.

I can ssh into the same server from the same computer from putty with no
problems. Running openssh-client under root makes no difference.
