Good suggestion. I just tried this and it doesn't seem to have made a
difference:-

/srv/screencasts.ubuntu.com/www/videos/20070704_samba_filesharing_ogg_theora_1280x720.srt: ASCII English text, with CRLF line terminators

I used unix2dos to convert that to CRLF line termination.
